| Physicians and surgeons are the most restricted professionals in the world when it comes to immigration and establishing practice in countries other than those where they obtained their qualifications. Today the world is becoming more and more a global village. Professionals often find themselves moving to other countries to establish or work in already established offices of their multinational company. For businessmen, bankers, engineers and even lawyers the process of relocation is relatively painless, usually only requiring a visa or immigration to the country before their work can commence. For physicians and nurses, however, even if they have a visa, permanent residency, or are already citizens of the country -- their ability to work in the country is usually impossible to establish. This site is for the first organization committed to changing this problem.
Our MissionTo open the doors for free movement of practicing physicians and surgeons across international borders.
Association ProfileWe are a group of physicians and surgeons dedicated to changing the current restrictions on practice for would be international MDs. We are attempting to establish ties with the WMA, AMA, CMA, as well as the main international credentialing and licensing boards for physicians and surgeons internationally. The association was the brain child of Mounir Bashour, MD, CM, FRCSC, and his cofounder Dan Reinstein, MD, FRCSC/
